Welcome to The Epperstone

We have worked within the limitations of this beautiful Edwardian house to make your stay as pleasant as possible and all effort has been made to accommodate your needs. Please note the following:

  • Parking - While there is usually ample free parking in the road outside the hotel on the front and side of the property we also have a large driveway to the rear of the house with room for 4/5 cars, which is free for guests. Please note this is on a ‘first come first served basis’. Please park considerately to make the most of the space available. We hope you understand that in the unlikely event of damage to your vehicle we can not be held responsible.

  • If you park in the rear car park there is a short walk up York Road then left onto Abbey Road and through the gate. The conservatory is straight ahead. We are a corner property.

  • If you park at the front of the property the reception is just a few meters ahead on a level paved area

  • Access to The Epperstone is through the front conservatory where you will find the reception. You will be given a key to your room and a key to the property. There will be a charge if you lose these.

  • We are happy to assist you with your luggage if you require assistance.

  • The reception / conservatory has a seating area with a television, books and games where you are welcome to relax. There are no steps and the door can be opened to double width for easy access.

  • For your own safety we have CCTV within the property in public areas.

  • The breakfast dining room is on the ground floor.

  • Room 1 is a twin bedroom on the ground floor. It is easily accessible from the reception and has a large walk in shower . Guests who are less able or mobile may find this room more convenient.

  • Rooms 3, 4, 5 & 6 are on the first floor. There is a wide staircase with one right handed stairwell handrail. Lights will be kept on at night. There are 12 steps, a small landing and then an additional 6 steps to get to the bedrooms.

  • We have no lift in the property.

  • We will make all effort to accommodate you and your needs where possible and feasible within the limitations of this old Edwardian property.
